Compare the complete purchased quantity
Read net weight, bag count and any approximate piece-count qualification. A multipack of small bags can have a different total from one large bag, even if the product photography looks similar. Include immediate checkout costs consistently.
Check storage before buying
FDA advises storing dry pet food and treats appropriately and keeping identifying information. Consider dry space, resealing and the manufacturer’s directions before taking a case home. We do not assign a universal shelf life to every treat or guarantee that a stockpile remains safe.
Use an inventory assumption honestly
Our stock tool divides the remaining count you enter by a use rate you supply. That is a scenario, not a feeding recommendation. If the input changes, the forecast changes. Do not let a lower unit price become a reason to increase feeding or ignore package instructions.
Before you decide
- Compare total weight or count.
- Read the storage directions.
- Keep the stock forecast explicitly conditional.
